The Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission (SPCC) passed a new licensing rule for individuals wishing to remove honey bees from structures. This license requirement is being referred to as HBR (Honey Bee Control and Removal).To obtain an HBR license, individuals must attend a SPCC approved 8-hour training outlining certain principles of removing honey bees from structures. Our training will be two 4-hour sessions.Persons seeking the Certificate MUST come to a county extension office to watch the recording. Upon completion (over one or more days), you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Attendance at both days is MANDATORY. Forsyth County Extension will offer this class at their 5110 Piney Grove Road office on November 18-19, 2025, from 9am-1pm each day. The cost is $40.
