Making A Difference in Our County

In 2024, Clayton County 4-H expanded its reach through in-school programming, student competitions, and community engagement. County Project Achievement engaged 20+ students from three schools, securing a no-cost venue and raising funds to offset competition expenses. The 4-H Garden Club completed its fifth growing season, increasing membership by 50% and doubling its volunteer base. A secured grant and fundraising efforts generated $2,000 for garden improvements. Collaborations with Master Gardener Extension volunteers and local schools enhanced the impact. The student-led Let’s Grow Clayton event drew 200+ attendees, strengthening agricultural education and setting the stage for 2025.
