Purpose of Conducting a 4-H Project Club
4-H Project Clubs provide a platform for 4-H leaders to:
? Experience leadership by planning and managing club activities
? Share knowledge and passion related to a main 4-H project area
? Help others by teaching and inspiring 4-H’ers and peers?

Who Can Lead a Project Club?
Active 4-H Members 7th–12th grade planning to participate in Project Achievement may serve as the Project Club Leader. This leadership role provides a chance to:
? Grow in responsibility and confidence
? Practice planning and organization
? Engage with community partners and peers in meaningful ways

Requirements & Responsibilities
To successfully organize and lead a 4-H Project Club, the youth leader must:
1. Recruit a Certified, Screened Adult Volunteer
? Each club must be supported by a screened, certified adult volunteer who will assist with logistics and supervision and support the learning activities.
2. Hold a Minimum of 3 Meetings
? Meetings must include educational content, a hands-on learning component, and opportunities for engagement of 4-Her’s.
3. Involve at Least 5 (10 max) Members
? Members can be from various grade levels and should share a common interest in the selected 4-H project area. Determine audience: Cloverleaf, JR, SR.

Planning Requirements
All youth leaders must submit a Project Club Plan for review and approval. Your plan should include:
Club Name? ? ? ? ? ?
A creative, relevant name for your Project Club
Meeting Agendas?
A basic outline of your 3+ planned meetings (topics, activities, guest speakers, etc.)
Budget Estimated?
Expenses and registration fees to cover expenses
Promotional Materials?
Draft of a short newspaper article and a social media post to promote your club
Hands-On Activities?
Interactive, skill-building elements that make learning fun and memorable

Support & Feedback
? 4-H Project Club Leaders will receive coaching and feedback from the Oconee County 4-H Agent and Extension Educator and AmeriCorps member.
? Leaders are encouraged to ask questions, bring ideas forward, and seek help as needed throughout the planning and execution process.

WAN TO LEAD A PROJECT CLUB?? HERE ARE YOUR NEXT STEPS:??
1. Start with an idea! Choose your main 4-H project focus.
2. Recruit an adult volunteer.
3. Create your Project Club Plan using the outline provided.
4. Submit your plan for review and approval by the 4-H Agent.
5. Lead and Have Fun!??Identify potential members, Promote your club. Host your meetings, Promote other 4-H activities and Enjoy the experience.??
6.? Reflect & Learn Schedule a post-club meeting to debrief the experience with your 4-H Staff.
