Fundraisers:
The Towns-Union Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program has two major fundraisers every year, one in late spring and the other in early December. All proceeds from these fundraisers go back into the community through local garden projects, community education programs, and local scholarships
These annual fundraisers impact our local communities by supporting research to promote agricultural diversity and providing educational experiences to develop skills and knowledge in agriculture and environmental improvements. We take pride in supporting these specific local organizations through our fundraising efforts:

Towns-Union Master Gardener Plant Sale:
The plant sale is our largest fundraiser of the year! Our Towns- Union MGEVs grow and nurture all of the plants sold themselves.?? We host the plant sale every year in?Late May at the Union County Farmer's Market

Kris Kringle Market:

Using the beauty and elegance of nature, our Master Gardener Extension Volunteers work hard to plan and make Christmas ornaments and holiday gifts for you and your loved ones. We carefully develop new designs every season – and bring back the favorites like grinches made from okra pods, beautiful wooden carvings, angels made from lotus pods, or Grande Dames outfitted by nature!?
The Kris Kringle Market is held the?first Saturday of December at the Union County Farmer's Market. This event features over 100 local artisans, you do not want to miss this opportunity to shop and get ready for the holidays!

Community Outreach Events
The?Towns-Union Master Gardener Extension Volunteers plan educational community events with local garden clubs and regional organizations across both Towns and Union counties. In addition, we provide regional support to assist national and state organizations for many special events throughout the year, including the Arbor Day Foundation and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
We work together with these organizations to plan events to increase awareness of local opportunities to expand growth of community gardens, home gardens, and structured native habitats. Don’t miss these annual events, and other seasonal opportunities, including:
